Employment
Priest Lake is best known for its pristine waters and stunning surrounding. Tucked away in Luby Bay, our guests, and staff alike enjoy days spent basking on the dock and beach, golfing, hiking and biking our endless trails, and cruising the waters on your vessel of choice (boat, kayak, canoe, or paddle-board). Nights are spent around a campfire eating s’mores, enjoying a cocktail, and dancing to live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Working in such a remote location is truly all a part of the experience. We are looking for those dynamite personalities who are willing to play hard but work harder. Our summer guests begin arriving in May with our busiest months being July through September. We can typically accommodate for most schedules and several of our positions are available through mid-October.
Wages are both job-specific and DOE.
The Employee Experience
Work together, play together, live together! That is our motto.
Our team consists of people from all over the United States; some employees live at Priest Lake full time, while others come up just for the summer months. Some have never been to Priest Lake before and others have been coming to the lake their whole lives. With such a diverse group of people, we can guarantee that you will make friends that last a lifetime and experience a summer you will never forget!
Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a go-getter. Our season is short and we pack in long hours of hard work. We are looking for self-motivated detail-oriented people. We expect our staff to take pride in their work, to create a relationship and experience with our guests, and provide the best service possible.
Our Season
Our summer season starts in May with business escalating until our peak in July and August. September and October weekends are quite busy with events, with a slower paced midweek. From October through February our lodging is open full time but our restaurant cuts back to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Our restaurant is closed entirely from March through April with lodging still available. Applicants with the longest availability dates will be given first consideration.
Employment Terms
Hill’s Resort is open seven days a week, 365 days a year. It is imperative that you check your availability for seasonal employment, both your starting date and ending date since we expect you to honor the commitment you make to us.
Room and Board
We do have limited employee housing available. There are eight homes available and within each home, there is a full kitchen (cooking equipment limited but included) shared bedrooms and bathroom facilities.
Getting Here and Getting Around
From the Spokane airport we are a two hour drive northeast toward the Canadian border. We live 35 min and a beautiful drive from a large grocery store. There are gas stations, small convenience stores, a laundromat, restaurants/bars, and a few other resorts within the area. Having your own transportation is strongly encouraged.
For Fun
If you love the outdoors we are the place for you! Possibilities are endless; camp on an island, hike to the natural water slides at Lionhead, enjoy your lunch after a storybook hike, bounding over giant boulders as it brings you to the ever glowing Hunt Lake, get ready to take an endless amount of photos and lay beneath the night's sky as shooting star's and constellations rain above. The resort is located directly on the lake and we get the fantastic benefit of docks and amazing sun. Hanging out on the water or access the trails from your own back yard. Come spend a glorious summer on the shores of Priest Lake!
